New York Consulate announces holding of 2007 Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examinations

PHILIPPINE CONSULATE - NEWS RELEASE

NEW YORK --- The Philippine Consulate General in New York is pleased to inform the public that the Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) will be conducting the next Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examinations on the following dates:

* 06 May 2007 - Part I FSO Qualifying Test
* 22, 23 & 25 May 2007 - Part II FSO Written Examination
* December 2007 / January 2008 - Part III FSO Oral Examination

In accordance with a previous decision of the BFSE, only Part I of the FSO Examinations may be conducted at the following venues outside of the Philippines:

1. Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C.;
2. Philippine Embassy in Vienna; and
3. Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

Part II will be administered at the DFA Main Office in Pasay City, Philippines, while Part III will take place in Manila at a date to be determined later.

Please note that interested individuals must submit their duly-accomplished application forms for processing by the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C., the Philippine Embassy in Vienna, or the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai not later than 20 April 2007.
